Toasted Chickpeas

Chickpeas make for a great, healthy snack without giving up on taste.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat a medium skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add a small amount of olive oil (optional) to the skillet to help the toasting process.
  3. Rinse and drain the chickpeas.
  4. Add the chickpeas to the skillet.
  5. Heat on medium until dried/toasted. About 15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt or any other seasonings you may desire.
  7. Note: great snack for Fat Smash.

Made these with Chipotle pepper and garlic powder. A great substitute for chips/pretzels when I need a crunchy snack.

So GOOD!! Even better seasoned with salt, garlic powder and paprika, like in hummus. Great for when you're craving something salty!

These are GREAT. I used the 1/2 tsp. of olive oil and sprinkled jalapeno salt on them. YUMO!!!!!!! I think it comes out to 2 pts. per 1/2 cup serv. I tried to figure the ingredients on the Pointsfinder. Right or wrong???
