HI All! My name is Jeannine. I am 28 years old and live with my fiance just outside of Philly. I will be getting married next April, and at first looking good in my dress was my motivation. But now, I want to start my married life happy and healthy. I have struggled with my weight almost all of my life.
I did south beach a few years ago after my doctor told me that I had Metobolic Disorder--which basically meant, I was borderline diabetic, my good cholestrol was low, my bad cholestrol was high, and my blood pressure was high. I got down to 175 pounds, and I felt great! My levels started to even out but slowly I started falling right back into the habits I had before South Beach.
Over the course of 2 years, I gained everything back plus a few more pounds. So this time, I am not doing any "gimicky" diet. This time--is the last time I ever want to have to do this. This time I am counting calories and excercising. THis time it's a change for life. I want to begin my marriage, to the man I have been with for over 11 years, healthy. I want to be able to think about starting a family without having to worry about having health concerns. I want to teach my future children, how to be healthy.
This time I want to succeed for me!
