Hey everybody my name is Vince and i'm a 27 year old living in the Philly area. I am getting married in April 2011 so I have made the decision to finally get a hold of my life/weight so I can be healthy after I marry the women i've been with for the past 11 years.
I was very active as a child/teenager playing baseball, football, etc. and am still an avid golfer now but I have always been overweight. I can't point you to a time in my life where I weighed even remotely what I should have.
I did south beach in 2006 and lost a considerable amount of weight but I was miserable doing it and found I couldn't do or eat anything plus I wasn't exercising at all so this time I am stricly going based on calories and putting 3-4 times a week in at the gym. My goal weight is an overall goal not a goal for my wedding (but if I get there then great) I'm just hoping to look healthy for my pictures so when my future children see me on my wedding day pictures they will know why being healthy is so important.
I've seen other people list rewards for goals so I think if I get to my goal weight i'm going to go sky diving. The last time I thought about doing it I was too heavy based on the info on the company's website (I know sad).
