I have been dieting most of my life. I went on my first big diet when I was 13. I have gained and lost probably a couple of hundred pounds in my lifetime. I have been a FatSecret member since 2010. 2012 was really the year I made the connection. I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes and this scared me into taking some real action. Within this past year, I have given up sugar, alcohol, nicotine, and have really cut back on caffeine. I am in better physical shape than I have been in years. I ran my first 5K a month after I turned 40. I still have a lot left to lose and a lot more goals to reach. Tracking food helps me immensely, the same with tracking exercise. The support I get here on FatSecret is amazing, and I'd be lost without it. I love this community!
