I am a 41 year old Husband and father of 2 crazy boys. In the past I tend to diet and exercise for a month or so every year. While this has helped keep me from putting on allot of weight the years are taking their toll. I have decided that by my 42nd B-day I will be in the best shape of my life. I really don't have a weight goal since muscle will replace fat and in the end I am will to bet my weight will increase. My goal is to see my abs again. I know they are there but they are hiding under a layer of fat.

quiting smoking=9kg. in 30days
I am 41 years old and quit smoking 60 days ago. (Smoked for 29 years) I have actually lost about 8 pounds. I have been hitting the Gym at least 3 days per week, Doing push-ups every day and I have not stuck with a strict diet however I have logged my food and exercise to keep my intake below what I burn. I can already feel allot more energy and my blood pressure has normalized so I don't have to take my meds anymore. I am still having cravings but I take a walk or do some crunches to get my mind off of it.

2 Questions concerning protein...

Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard has very good reviews, Very low fat and it is the best I have found after doing allot of research. I buy it from the Vitamin Shop. It is also low sodium.
Each Scoop =
24g Protein
110-120 Calories depending on Flavor
1g Fat
3g carbs
60mg Sodium

It mixes great with water

What was your turning point?
I originally signed up when I hit 220 lbs . I came back because I quit smoking and now I not only want to keep the fat off I want to see my abs before my 42nd B-day.... Even after I hit my goal I want to stay here. In a world were people ignore each other, are rude and self centered it is great to me a member of a place that was built on helping each other and simply reading all of the positive comments makes my day a little bit brighter.
