I am a 60 year old woman with the hope of reducing my weight for my health and to meet my fitness goals of increasing muscle and losing body fat. Up until I was about 45 years old, I exercised regularly and watched all my food choices. In fact. when I was 40 years old, I was in the best condition. This was an accomplishment since I had been an overweight kid, and battled weight off and on for most of my adult life.
Then, menopause hit and I started a more sedentary job...and I also have hypothyroid! I just slowed down and didn't seem to care anymore.
I have done organized programs at the gym, and food programs. I tend to do well for a while until I hit the dreaded plateau...and then I am discouraged and give up. I WILL NOT give up this time.
