Night shift RN who is at a midlife point in career and life...
I was the fat jock. Track and field, wrestling, football in competitive years as a youth in college. Then the typical softball and golf sports in my advancing years. I want to regain some of the energy I have for sports and life since I am involved in my son's sports as a coach.
It is not all about them... I believe that some of the jobs that I did not get were related to my appearance. But to continue my career in public safety I need to get healthier.
Was a traveling RN for 9 years I gained most of my weight during that time Living the good life especially in Hawaii...Too much POI and alcohol! I currently reside in Southern NJ and work as a Critical Care Transport Nurse/Paramedic.
Some Goals (revised 9/10)
< 340 By April 30, 2010.............Check!
< 310 By June 23, 2010..............Damn! misses it by a week!
< 280ish... By September 26, 2010.........Made it to high 280's
< 270ish... By November 15, 2010..........no got to 281 (stuck
