I am 50 years old. I work full time (sometimes more) and go to college full time as well. I enjoy spending time in the mountains, hiking, reading, and playing computer and PS3 games. I used to be skinny before kids, but now my sons are both adults and it was past time for mom to lose the extra weight! I started with a goal of losing 30 pounds and I achieved that and more previously, but unfortunately I have gained weight back. I am recommitting to myself to get leaner and reduce my body fat percentage. I am 6'0" tall.

Goals:
- Go to the gym at least 2 days a week and a minimum of 1 hour for each of the days.
- 27% body fat (long term goal)
- Participate in a 5k and finish in 30 minutes or less
- 2017 goal is to reach 200 lbs again.

First week of the new year - how's your diet going?
No diet here. It's a lifestyle change as stated above. Smile I started to change my life for the better last February and I am looking forward to reaching that one year anniversary in the best shape I have ever been in.

feeling sexy
Yes! I have more confidence in how I look now and hubby has been noticing the change in my interest. Wink I have more energy than I used to and wearing cute lingerie is a lot more fun now.

Is it okay to blow a day?
I typically blow one day a week now, but not by as much as you mentioned. I might go as much as 400 calories over on that one day, but try to make up for it in exercise.

Help! Need Motivation!!
Yay for 40 pounds lost!! I personally do not ever want to go back to what I once weighed. Knee pain was the final push to make me lose the weight and start to realize how overweight I was. I do not like the way I looked when I go back and look at old photos. Those old photos, my new skinnier (and cuter) clothes, better health (no meds except vitamins), my family and my wonderful FS buddies keep me motivated to stay healthier. Best wishes on finding the motivation you need to keep going!! Smile
