Hello there. My name is Dawn and I have struggled with my weight my whole life. My highest weight was 375. I will NEVER go back to that place. Food has always been an issue with me. I'm trying to find balance within myself to finally break through the food chains I'm bound in.
As a child, I always used food to help me deal with my emotions and I guess as an adult I still do the same thing. This is a slow evolution for me and I'm taking it day by day. I have a hard time looking in the mirror because I'm disgusted at how I have let myself go. I'm taking THAT day by day as well. I know I need to love myself for ME and I'm trying to do that each day. I have a wonderful partner who supports me and loves me for ME and I'm a very lucky girl to have that. THAT is something i will never take for granted.
10/04/11~Since writing this, I have lost over 75 lbs. I've learned so much on this journey and it's not even half over. The biggest lesson? I'm worth it.

UPDATE! 07/11/2015~ Due to many reasons I've regained about 50ish lbs. On way back down. No matter what life throws at you, you HAVE to get back up and move on. Life can be really hard, you have to decide how you live through it. it's ok to have some scars along the way...it's what makes us human. Just keep going. Which is exactly what I'm doing.
You really need to WANT to lose weight for this to work. If you don't, if you don't fully commit...you will NOt be successfull. Believe in yourself and know that you ARE worth it!
