You may know that moment when you're so sick of your own excuses that you get mad at yourself...I'm about there. I keep re-doing the same 10-20 lbs...over and over. Balance has never been my strong suit. I just keep on plugging away and one of these times it'll "take". I learn from the stumbles. So the stumbles are failures. They're learning opportunities. So glad that hubby is on board with you! Not only will he feel better, but it's always good to have someone who is on the same journey. Feels less alone Smile

In my research and from my own experience, my cholesterol levels got better when I was eating eggs but limiting sugar and white (bread, potatoes, etc). Low carb for me has been good. Raised my good cholesterol, lowered my bad. When I go "off", I see it rise.

National Chain Restaurants
Sometimes Cracker Barrel can have great options also. They used to have a section that really spelled out the low carb options but they have been willing to modify (leave off buns, change out veggies) for me when I've asked.
