I am a single woman with no children. I teach at an Elementary School. I spend most of my day standing and walking around the classroom. Right now school is out and I have been very lazy. I am ready for a lifestyle change and I think the challenges on here will help me accomplish my goals. I am a type I diabetic on insulin and it has been very hard for me to lose weight. I would really like to lose about 10-15 pounds and then maintain my weight after that. I believe that if I comit myself I will be able to lose the weight and get my blood sugar levels under control! I also want to stop feeling tired ALL the time and be able to take my little dog for walks. It's time for a change!

Fiber one bars at night?
I am a diabetic also. I tend to eat anything when my sugar drops. Lol. BUT that's not good bc you get spikes. I think a fiber one bar is good. Also try a graham cracker square with peanut butter.

LC Eating
I am loving my trips to the grocery store now. I am eating LC. I only shop in the fresh produce section and meats. I am not buying anything that comes in a bag or box. The last low carb dinner I made was a rotisserie chicken( already cookedSmile) and I put small potatoes, sliced squash, and fresh green beans (and a little butter) in a baking dish on 350 for an hour. OMG! It was fantastic. I love arugula lettuce with a little low fat Caesar dressing. Fresh cut mushrooms are also amazing with the arugula. That fed me and my bf and we had leftovers. Very yummy!

Does anyone else feel like they are 'fake' losing weight?
My scales weighed me lower one day and I was so excited, but the next day it was back up. As of today, I have lost no pounds and no inches. I am just maintaining. I cut my Calories to 1500. They were at 1700(Fat Secret Recommendation). Hopefully I will see some results now. I think I will go find my "skinny" jeans and try them on now so I can see a difference later. lol

Submitting recipes
I want to know how to put the ingredients in a recipe so it says like 1 cup of something instead of 2 servings. I submitted two recipes and instead of having 1 jar of alfredo sauce, it says 7 servings. (There are 7 servings in the jar.) I look like an idiot. ha ha Someone will be hating my recipe post. Even though it tastes awesome. Also says 4 servings of garlic powder instead of 1 tbsp. ha ha Help!

How to treat constipation naturally?
I take Fiber Choice chewables almost daily and I have no problem with them. Just be sure to drink plenty of water bc they can back you up. I have found that eating an apple or two every day keeps me regular.
