I'm a busy mom of three wonderful boys ages 16, 12 and 4.
Started South Beach on Jan 2 and now almost 8 weeks in I believe I've adjusted to the diet as a real lifestyle change... I mostly follow phase 2 but keep the grains low. I rarely crave things not "allowed" on the plan except the occasional social eating and drinking activities like margaritas and chips and salsa! So far I've avoided the temptations and have enjoyed my red wine and alternative h'or deurves... but I know one day I will want to celebrate Cinqo de Mayo so I plan to have my body strong and healthy. I figure if I'm feeling good and looking good a few splurge days won't knock me off the wagon forever (at least I sure hope that's the case!!!)
I'm still working my way back to my 'confident' weight range of 128-132 lbs (age 46, 5'8") - my weight before baby #3 - so its not time to splurge yet...
