Want to start Clean Eating. Help lead me in the right direction please...
I'm still trying to understand what clean eating is. I think I'm getting it confused with a more strict diet. Would yogurt be out of the question, since it has sugar in it?

Want to start Clean Eating. Help lead me in the right direction please...
I want to start (or rather, attempt to) clean eating. I thought I'd give it a trial run. I know it's good for you in so many ways, but it's also going to be more difficult and probably more expensive for me (I have a husband and 3 kinds ages 7, 4, and 1. Husband isn't used to eating healthy; and kids eat everything, but are used to having snacks and stuff in the house thanks to husband and inlaws. lol)...which might hinder me from continuing it. However, I enjoy a challenge--especially if it's good for me.

For those who do this, how did you start? Do you have any tips, tricks, or easy meal plan ideas you wouldn't mind sharing? I'm not big on breakfast, so I usually do smoothies/shakes that are pretty healthy anyway. But for lunch and dinner, I'm not sure where to start. I think one of the main reasons I haven't started yet is because I hate the idea of making myself separate meals from my family. And smelling the meals I cook for them might break me down. lol Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What leg workouts can I do at home if I don't have access to a gym?
Thank you for sharing those links with me! I'll have to add them to my list of videos. I was getting tired of the ones I was already doing. Smile Just trying to figure out how to tone my legs again. I don't have a stair machine, or a leg press at home...so I have no idea what else to do besides squats and lunges. lol Do you know what other specific exercises would be good for the lower half?

What leg workouts can I do at home if I don't have access to a gym?
I now have 3 children (6y.o, 4 y.o, and 10 month old), so I don't have extra money to put towards a gym membership or a lot of exercise equipment. I've, maybe, got about an 30 minutes to an hour (if I'm lucky)to get a workout in. Can I still get a good leg workout if I can't go to a gym and use all of those nifty leg machines? I don't know how possible it is to get back the toned leg muscles I used to have 15 years ago, without any equipment. (I ran track and was in gymnastics.) I'm nowhere NEAR as "in shape" as I used to be, but I do try to workout for at least 20-30 minutes a day, 3-5x a week...if I can. (Usually the Jillian Michaels workout videos.) Thoughts? Exercise suggestions?

I seem to be plateauing early. How do I break it???
Thank you mars2kids. I'll have to keep all of that in mind. Yes, it IS frustrating....and I tend to get frustrated and discouraged easily nowadays. But the other thing I should keep in mind is that my attitude towards this aspect in my life is something my kids will be seeing; so I need to stay positive....so that they can learn to do the same with everything in THEIR lives too. Thanks for the reminder.
