Almost to my goal weight. :) All my stress seems to be from other people. They are not doing what I want them to do. lol So it is their problem, not mine, so I should not worry about it. Whenever I am stressed, I have a word that I remember. I'm not going to tell you the word that I chose. You need your own word. Anyway, when I am stressed, I just think of that word and try to relax. It is working for me.
136.2 lb Lost so far: 65.8 lb.    Still to go: 0.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Awesome - still too far from mine, but managed to hit the 20# mark today...but you know, people NEVER do what you want them to do, so all you can do is smile, say "that's nice" and go on about your day...(there's a joke behind that) - but if thinking of a word or an image works for you, then go for it! good job

One word does it? Wow, how bout a hint? Something like 'the heck with it'? I'm trying to sink my eyes into a good book to defuse some of that stress. And finally got back to walking yesterday. Anyway, this is your journal entry. Congrats again!

I can understand that stress coming from others. When I care deeply about others or just about what others think of me, I can get stressed. Turning the spotlight back on me helps release the stress and I, too, have a word and a specific action I can take that is subtle and no one but me knows. I just needed this reminder to use the tool Thanks Deb. And I'm so very happy for your weight loss! You inspire me... every day.

awe my heart just melted after reading such Loving wisdom I will keep those words buried with I'm my heart so the peace of Jesus can flood my soul when others act out <3 such a beautiful lady you are and I'm getting off here to think and pray for the Lord to give me that word <3 so so Proud of you <3 you for sure are a lady of faith walking right in front of me <3 I can have my dreams to fulfilled <3 sweet dreams my sweets <3

Shrug it off, use your de-stress word, whatever works for you. I find if I walk in the am the stress from others rolls off easy.

Thank you, everyone! I'm sure that some people chant to get rid of stress. I decided to choose one word and when I think that word I remember a peaceful place outdoors where the weather is perfect and birds sing and butterflies come. I have a daughter-in-law who closes her eyes and takes a deep breath when she is stressed. That's good if you are not driving your car!

Deb, you are doing great. I have been watching your weight steadily go down. I am so happy for you. Well a little about me…… the wedding is over, IT WAS EVERYTHING I hoped it would be. I managed to keep my weight the same by wedding day therefore my dress was just right or should I say I weight was just right for the dress. But now, it is a different story. I have gained 3 lbs since the wedding. That in itself is not too upsetting for me because I did have a lot of things that i don't normally allow myself. But, here is the but. I am now not being consistent enough with my eating now. This is the first time I have been on FS for a while. I know I need to get control of myself and plan to do so. I just want you to know that I read everything that you post and your posts are keeping my head in the game. This may sound weird but you are positive and strong right now and it helps me a lot. So I need to do the same. I have started exercising more since the wedding (oct 11) but my eating is not where it should be yet. I do not want to gain weight back and actually want to lose another 10 or so. you are doing great and I thank you for your positivity. Stay with it Deb.!!!!!
