I've struggled with my weight almost all of my adult life - I was about 135 when I graduated in 1975, and it's been downhill from there. I've tried Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Optifast - which is a medically supervised fast with blood tests for liver function every 2 weeks), some off the wall things, but every time I've lost weight, it comes right back. Some friends of mine have been on the Atkins program and done really well, so I decided to try it. guess what - I'm not hungry, and I've lost 9 lbs since the 9th of July (today is the 17th), seeing that drop in the first week is helping me stay motivated
I am married to the most wonderful man walking the planet - we got married in October of '10, and I am happier than I've ever been in my life. I have 2 adult daughters from my first marriage (hate to admit, but this is my 4th - and LAST), my oldest daughter who lives in Arkansas gave us our first granddaughter in July of 2011. My youngest lives in Arizona. Hate having them so far away, don't get to see them except maybe once a year or so, but you deal with it.
I love to read, sing Karaoke, ride the Harley with my hubby, play Farmville and Bingo Blitz on Facebook - love the CSI shows, and NCIS, along with Hells Kitchen and MasterChef.
UPDATE March 11, 2014...got burned out for a while, so basically ate anything and everything - and unfortunately, because of that...some of my things don't fit any more...I have about 4 pairs of jeans that I can still get into (out of a dozen pairs lol), and since I gave all of the bigger sizes away.............SO - here we go again! Plus, my 40th HS reunion is summer of 2015 and I really need to get my ass in gear :)
