I've struggled with my weight almost all of my adult life - I was about 135 when I graduated in 1975, and it's been downhill from there. I've tried Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Optifast - which is a medically supervised fast with blood tests for liver function every 2 weeks), some off the wall things, but every time I've lost weight, it comes right back. Restarting Atkins as of today (8/30/14)...

I am married to the most wonderful man walking the planet - we got married in October of '10, and I am happier than I've ever been in my life. I have 2 adult daughters from my first marriage (hate to admit, but this is my 4th - and LAST), my oldest daughter who lives in Arkansas gave us our first granddaughter in July of 2011 and now another one on the way, due in March 2015!. My youngest lives in Arizona - she just got engaged (8/2014). Hate having them so far away, don't get to see them except maybe once a year or so, but you deal with it.

I love to read, sing Karaoke, ride the Harley with my hubby, play Farmville and Bingo Blitz on Facebook - love the CSI shows, and NCIS, along with Hells Kitchen and MasterChef.

Have you tried to break it down by serving? I did the same thing with a recipe I found, and the numbers were astronomical, so I just figured out how many servings there were in the recipe, and went from there...good luck!

atkins induction
Good for you - great weight loss! I started on the 9th, and I'm down 14.5, after being on a stall last week...I'm still on induction, and probably will stay there till I hit 20 or 25 lbs maybe, I'll just have to play it by ear and see how I feel - if you want any buddies to chat with or for support, I'm sending you a request. Keep up the great job!

any of you folks can add me - if you want an old (55) lady as a buddy! I'm a week and a halof into my Atkins, and I'm down 11lbs! almost 1 week into the 35+ lbs to lose challenge

I don't get it - I'm on Atkins, granted only for a week and a half, but if I saw a recipe that didn't 'fit' my program, I'd either try to find a way to adjust it, or not eat it, but in no way shape or form would I post anything negative about it just because it didn't conform to the Atkins mold...and why other people would is beyond me...so petuniak, not all Atkins people are that way, and my motto is if it works for you, then hell yeah - go for it, and the best of luck on your journey! I hope you reach all your goals!
