Hello! My name is Deborah but my friends call me Deb! I am happily married with 3 sons & 2 daughters. My goal is to lose weight & get healthy. My plan: 1) healthy diet, 2) more exercise, 3) better sleep, and 4) reduced stress. Somebody said that. It's good!

In January 2013, I weighed 233 lbs and I was diagnosed with diabetes. I began watching my carbs and calories, eating a low fat diet, and avoiding sugar. I began to walk more, starting from 300 steps a day and slowly increased it to 5000 steps a day (2.5 miles). When I joined this website I weighed 202 lbs. What a great site, with such encouraging members! After losing 44 pounds, my A1C was 5 (normal) and my doctor told me that I can stop taking the diabetic pills and cut my cholesterol pills in half! I am so happy and I continue to eat healthy and exercise daily so that I will not have to go back on the Metformin.

Ticker Tag
Mya, I think when you are at "My Weight History" and you clicked to add a historical weight (from a day from the past) FatSecret messes up. If you know your FS password, you can log out of the FatSecret you usually go to, then find another website like FatSecret Canada or FatSecret Australia and log in there. Doing that will not fix the signature weight loss ticker. You will need to enter your weight for that day and then this might get your ticker to start working again.
