This is my January 2015 update. after about two years on this journey to be healthy I'm 60 pounds lighter and in better shape. I still have a long ways to go on the fitness and it will be a lifetime to keep that fitness and weight. I used have chronic pain and what a difference!!

This journey has changed my life in so many positive ways. It's not just a weight loss journey but one to face all your demons and in the end be a more positive person feeling good about yourself and your world.

I love to cook all kinds of natural foods and delve into many cuisines. I'm a leftover health food nut from the 70's who has always loved exploring cusines from all over the globe. There are all sorts of interesting foods to try. I've been busy exploring vegetarian dishes from many parts of the world, I've discovered some new favorites and ingredients that are new to me.

I work full time as a customer service rep for a mutual fund company, a mentally exhausting desk job. Not a dream job but it pays the bills and has terrific benefits.

I am currently single 65 yo with 9 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and another grandson due in June. I spend alot of time at grandkids sports events and in the summer attending mud runs as one daughter and her husband race and fishing for catfish with another son-in-law.

I'm slowly remodeling my house and most of the year work on my yard and gardens, one of these days I'll get both so I'm happy with them. It's part of my journey to feel good about my life. I'm a professional longarm quilt artist but my little business (used to be fulltime) is on hold while I concentrate on my remodel. Hoping to get back to my passion my the end of the year.

I live with a chatty and very onery Quaker Parrot, a 9yr old pom mix male dog who thinks he's a big dog, and a little girl boston terrier mix born 3-31-13. She's a very active character-wish I had her almost never ending energy.

AKasar, thanks for your kind words. I never thought about hiding. That's a good thought. Sometimes one may be trying to deal with accepting themselves first.

This site has made me think, made me take a look at so much more in my life than just losing weight. Mummydee, and I are both hanging in a good weight place for us. I too do not always log my food. Sometimes I it's because I have made a batch of something using up bits and pieces, forget exactly what went into it. I also float a bit up and down a couple pounds of 130. Grins on the sodium, I've had to add some, my sodium levels were too low.

i do not get it.....
What prompted this was posts looking for help or answers to questions and any reply was blocked. Why ask if you do not want feedback? Sure I've followed my own plan that has worked for me. It's my own crazy way of eating and trying hard to fit exercise into mostly already full days. I've loved the feedback from others as it's made me think, changed my life in some ways, also helped me stay on my course.

i do not get it.....
There are people here who ask for help but due to their settings block us who have been successful from answering them, they ask for buddies and block them. I do not understand... this is the most supportive site.
