This is my January 2015 update. after about two years on this journey to be healthy I'm 60 pounds lighter and in better shape. I still have a long ways to go on the fitness and it will be a lifetime to keep that fitness and weight. I used have chronic pain and what a difference!!

This journey has changed my life in so many positive ways. It's not just a weight loss journey but one to face all your demons and in the end be a more positive person feeling good about yourself and your world.

I love to cook all kinds of natural foods and delve into many cuisines. I'm a leftover health food nut from the 70's who has always loved exploring cusines from all over the globe. There are all sorts of interesting foods to try. I've been busy exploring vegetarian dishes from many parts of the world, I've discovered some new favorites and ingredients that are new to me.

I work full time as a customer service rep for a mutual fund company, a mentally exhausting desk job. Not a dream job but it pays the bills and has terrific benefits.

I am currently single 65 yo with 9 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter, and another grandson due in June. I spend alot of time at grandkids sports events and in the summer attending mud runs as one daughter and her husband race and fishing for catfish with another son-in-law.

I'm slowly remodeling my house and most of the year work on my yard and gardens, one of these days I'll get both so I'm happy with them. It's part of my journey to feel good about my life. I'm a professional longarm quilt artist but my little business (used to be fulltime) is on hold while I concentrate on my remodel. Hoping to get back to my passion my the end of the year.

I live with a chatty and very onery Quaker Parrot and a little girl boston terrier mix born 3-31-13. She's a very active character-wish I had her almost never ending energy.

Clean Eating
If by eating whole natural foods, avoiding processed foods, and fast foods. Lots of veggies, whole grains, nuts, seeds, beans and lean proteins with no additives. Yes, if it's a specific "diet" am not.

Need help tracking calories in loaf of bread
If you are talking about Khobz it is normally made with honey. Baguettes are generally only flour, salt and water. Breads can be made with many different ingredients so using baguettes as a catch doesn't make sense. I make bread all the time.

Need help tracking calories in loaf of bread
Simocasa, I eat bread nearly everyday and have lost 60 pounds and maintaining. I do eat primarily a whole grain bread with seeds, whole wheat and chickpea flour. Have to make some today. You might enter a recipe for a bread such as you eat in the cookbook.

I love Moroccan flavors and am learning to cook some dishes from that part of the world. It's an interesting and fun challenge searching out different foods of the world that are not in a typical American grocery.

Looking for buddies
Wish I had another week! This was a work in the yard and on the house vacation the July one is for play. I do have 2 more but one in July the other in Sept.

Good for you on your logging food, I went and took a peek. I try after a meal but can't always at work, since I take my lunch it's easy to do it later. What is your plan? I know you said 100 gm of protein and 1500 calories.

Addicted to Coffee with creamer every morning!
I switched to black. I like sugar in my coffee if it has cream or milk. To me just cream without the sweet doesn't work. Tried sucralose for awhile but decided the sweeteners were also not good for me or my weight loss. Now if I occasionally have one with cream and sugar I use much less sugar as it's simply too sweet.
