August 2017.

My WOE is now easy for me as it was never a diet but a plan of eating that fits me. Diets do not work. I still have a long ways to go on the fitness and it will be a lifetime to keep that fitness and weight. I used have chronic pain and what a difference!

I did discover over the winter and spring that I need to stay on my plan. Work was hectic with much overtime and working through lunches. The company would bring in lunch from nearby restaurants mostly who deliver. I succumbed to eating many of those lunches-some with processed meats. I was not pre-prepping well at home. I would come home tired and eat what was handy and drinking more beer than I should. My asthma issues increased, my weight went up a little, I wasn't exercising, I was tired most of the time, and not sleeping well. I wasn't way off my plan except catered in lunches.

I woke up! I'm back on my way of eating healthy, still working through lunch often but eating what I took for lunch. I am no longer buying beer and am doing some prep every weekend. The prep is essential to have easy meals after work. I'm now eating less meat than ever and have decreased dairy and my asthma symptoms improved.

This journey has changed my life in so many positive ways. It's not just a weight loss journey but one to face all your demons and in the end be a more positive person feeling good about yourself and your world.

I am currently single 68 yo with 10 grandchildren (2 are steps), 3 great step great grandchildren. I live with a chatty and very onery Quaker Parrot and a little girl boston terrier mix born 3-31-13 and a hound mix rescue pup born in July 2015. Both of my pup girls are very active and funny. I now have 5 chickens, hoping none are roosters and am finishing up building their coop and run. By late fall I should have fresh organic eggs.

Cheap fitness tracker?
Does anyone have one they like? My fitbit flex has died after 4 years. I'm looking for a relatively cheap replacement. I can't afford much right now as a lot of expenses this year. Even planned expenses have turned into being a lot more $$. I'm seeing a lot of brands on Amazon for less than %50 and would love some input.

Why Do You REALLY, REALLY Want To Lose
Here were my reasons to lose and to why I need to continue to keep the weight off and exercise.

1. To avoid a knee replacement.
2. To avoid ankle reconstruction. Both have had injuries.
3. To increase or stabilize bone density due to osteo arthritis.
4. To help my lungs (asthma) and avoid any heart problems in the future.
5. To feel better about myself. Part of this journey has been facing the
demons of the past and to come to terms with them.

Energy can never be created or destroyed???
because it is not nutrient dense food that your body is able to as nutrition.
