I'm a 23 year old who recently moved from Northeast Ohio to the DEEP South. It has been a big adjustment, but I am hoping that I will be better able to focus on my health here (since there are very few other things to do...).

Recipe Approval
I was wondering this too. I submitted about 5 recipes MONTHS ago and none of them have been approved yet. I wondered if it was because who ever makes these decisions didn't think they were healthy enough or something, but I have seen some recipes that I would consider VERY unhealthy on this website, so I don't think that is it anymore. I would also like to know the answer to this.

The exercise journal has to be off!
Valnessa, the crazy amount of excercise they do on Biggest Loser is just so that they can lose those HUGE numbers every week, which are really unrealistic numbers for most normal people trying to lose weight. Excercise is still INCREDIBLY important to weight loss because it increases your metabolism and helps you tone and strengthen your body.

becoming a vegetarian
I don't think it is that difficult at all, even with out family support. I am not a vegetarian any more, but I was for a few years, and I also tried being vegan for a few months. I would definitely say try to start out being a vegetarian, because it can be extremely difficult to go vegan, especially if you are in a household that doesn't support it.

Reading labels is important, because a lot of times meat products are stuck in products you wouldn't expect.

And to warm your family up to the idea you could try offering to cook a vegetarian meal for them once a week. Something like vegetable lasagna won't be as scary for meat eaters as trying to convince them to try tofu or something (even though tofu is delicious!). There are tons of vegetarian recipes online.

If all else fails just start small, like cutting out red meat or something.

Good luck!

Hibachi Points??
I had the same problem. I had ABSOLUTELY no luck. They keep that info on lock-down apparently.

Status Bar Color Change
the color change indicates the percentage of weight loss you have reached toward your goal. 25% is one color, 50% is another etc. So all of your color change means you are doing a great job! Congrats! Smile
