Hey :) I am 16 years old and overweight at being 5' 5''. I want to lose weight to of course be healthy, but also because I live way to close to Panama City Beach so I pretty much live there in summer. This year though, I want to finally wear that bikini without hiding behind a towel. Prom is also this May and I want to be in a smaller dress size so I am finally sticking to a diet. I have my mom, my best friend, and my friends mom also dieting with me, but I'd love all the support I can get from my fellow fatsecret members. Add me as a buddy if you need any motivation :) We can get through this thing together Starting weight: 170

Thnaks guys Smile and Mahara, I am actually on owl I think, but I just haven't changed it on here. I think I am going to eliminate all the nuts, except peanut butter. That's the only way I can eat MIM's and get my fiber in a little easier. But thanks everyone

Do you go by total carbs or net carbs?
I have a few questions, and I would just like to get some other opinions. I have been told by many that we HAVE to get 12-15 net carbs of veggies. Well, I started doing that and I was losing no weight. Then I started to only have about 6 net carbs of veggies a day and I lost nearly 3 pounds in 2 days. I've also been eating a lot more fiber so I don't know which is helping me. When I eat fiber, I notice my total carb count is very high. What do yall count- total or net? I'm just curious Smile

chocolate cravings?
tinkyluvsron, this post was submitted for weight watchers I think. If you need some chocolate ideas, I would say diet swiss miss hot cocoa (3 carbs) or some homeade hot chocolate. There is sugar free bakers chocolate, a TON of sugar free candies at places like K-mart and CVS, and even atkins shakes and bars are great for getting rid of cravings. We can also have jello cups- sugar free.

Getting rid of arm jiggle?
Thanks everyone! No sadly, we do not have a gym in this very small town. The closest gym is roughly 30 minutes away, and with going to school from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm every day makes it hard to get to the gym with the homework at night. But thanks for all the advice and tips!

Getting rid of arm jiggle?
I have lost 15 pounds, but you can hardly tell in my arms. I love to wear tank tops, but I hate the way my arms jiggle. I looked at Wal-mart the other day and they wanted nearly $40 for hand weights, so I got crafty and made my own out of 20 oz empty soda bottles and filled them with sand. I hope those work Very Happy atleast for now, but I don't know any exercises. Do my fellow members have any favorites to get rid of flabby arms? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
