Married 20 years. Have had weight loss and gain since I was 20. First real diet I tried was after my hubby had proposed. I didn't want to be a fat bride, and I was about 200. In a year, I had dropped 50-60 lbs by switching from Dr. Pepper to water, and walking 25 minutes five times a week. At 20 weight loss was easier.
About age 30 I Had gained it all back. So this time I tried Atkins. I was again 200lbs before realizing that I had to do something. I feel bloated and uncomfortable at 200. Like my fat is strangling me. Anyway I stayed on it for 7 months, losing 70lbs.
Again at age 40 went the Atkins route, and lost, but again gained back.
Now at age 43 trying the Med diet, and no more artificial crap. Smaller portions and more frequent, heavy on the fruits, grains and veggies. Low on the daily, sugar and white flour/rice/potato items.
