I was 201 pounds 11/22/15 so happy to be healthy again and grateful for Fatsecret! I am a 56 yr old divorced woman who suddenly realized that I was considered obese, guess I wore it well because my family didn't think so.
First I soaked in the sad reality of it and then I found FS. I got amazing support, logged my food and realized the importance of awareness.

Losing the weight was/is NOT easy but after about a year I understood that 1 meal shouldn't be 1500+ calories, my typical meal at our favorite Chinese restaurant, not including a scoop of ice cream! I now am conscious of the calories I take in. All we need to do is eat 500 less calories a day than we use and we lose a lb a week, slow and steady : )

Born again vegetarian. I enjoy butterfly gardening, love my pets, family and the NFL. I believe each of us can do something to make the world a better place, recycle and/or find a cause <3

Absolutely! I have learned more from logging than anything.
A fish sandwich may be 400 calories and a salad 600 so may as well eat the fish! Not both anymore that's for sure Wink

I agree!

Fitbits are JUNK. I do product claims and my calls are mostly Fitbits and Beats headphones.

Right??? The "healthiest" weight on the mayo clinic site, is that clothed or not???

how to remove rice from diet?
There's a product on netrition.com called Carb Nada, noodles for low carbers, that's my starchy go to. You won't have the craving for it if you go low carb, I eat white rice now, maybe once a week when my family meets for Chinese food but I log it and keep track of calories.
