All I'm sayin is Halloween candy ain't nothin but a gateway drug. It's a mini candy bar here, a twizzler there, pretty soon you're waking up on the floor of a candy shop in a puddle of something green and fizzy with a Zagnut wrapper in your hair, and wondering how you got there. Sigh.

We're well into Dec, the fruity ones have damaged the chocolate ones anyway. We give you permission to toss it all, instantcrazy. So funny.

Thanks for the laugh. Yes, Halloween candy is like the gateway drug that leads to sugar/carb addiction through Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.

HA HA! My co-workers AND my kids hate me - I bring my leftovers into the office every year. :)

Yes just bring in Ribbon Candy :) I used to bring candy to the office and not eat it but I could watch a bag of mini snickers disappear in about a half of day with everyone being afrais to take the last one.

Believe it or not I still have one unopened bag of mini candy bars...probably because they are on a shelf I forget about otherwise this 4 lbs would be 40 lbs. I was doing SO WELL with no sugar, but man I swear it's a good thing I never tried the harder stuff I probably would be waking up on a floor somewhere. It came to the point where I needed something sweet after each meal, then it became "oh you don't have any sugar? well just pig out on something salty" "you like toast don't you?" "Oh look this grocery store sell donuts" It was bad!! I was on a full out bender! I started taking chocolate to bed with me, and no chocolate isn't my girlfriend's nickname. I'm quitting cold turkey! after I get rid of the Christmas cookies... help.me. O_O

My dad said i was dangerous because I found their leftover candy and showed him where it was. He is so woefully underweight that he needs all the fat and calories he can get. I think yeasty breads are gateway drugs. Not too hard to resist in summer, but fall and winter watch out!

I had to laugh with everyone else, because that's EXACTLY what happened to me this year. My journey began in Feb 2014 and I did GREAT for 8 months, down 50 lbs, basically off most carbs, no sugars, no junk candy AT ALL. And then....Halloween. I promised myself I was going to be good, but I wasn't so successful (curse those mini snack sizes) and November saw very few food recordings though I had a perfect record since Feb. Dec 1 recommitted so the 5 lbs I backslide didn't turn in to 20 by Christmas! We're definitely in this together. Have a great weekend everyone!

Major sweet craving. Try this not a whole lot of calories and some sugar. 2 TBS natural peanut butter, 2 tsp. Of brown or coconut sugar, a few semi sweet chocolate chips if you want or chopped dried fruit.

Better for your body to have real whipped cream than cool whip. It's real food not a mx of oils and chemicals. I haven't tried it someone here suggested whipping coconut cream. Sounds yummy. Might try it next weekend ask have grandkids, they always want desert, odd because they rarely have it at home. They will usually be happy with whole fruit or popcorn.
