I have never had a problem with weight. But three years ago I decided to quit smoking (so glad I did)! but I ended up gaining 50 lbs. And realized I ended up with the worst of my dads side of the gene pool...prediabetic, slow metabolism, thyroid shot. And the list goes on and on. I finally decided to give up the fight in trying to be the old me and realized that I can no longer eat whatever I want without serious consequences. So here's to something new! :)

I just started this yesterday Smile and I am sooooore this morning! Only I was able to find the entire workout on YouTube. I bought some little cheapo weights and they seemed to work just fine, but I bet your bands will work too. I hope you have great succes with it, let me know how you do.

Help! Cannot get into Ketosis
Hey there. I have found that your numbers should look more like 70% fat 20% protein and 10% carbs. I was told this last year and it helped tremendously. I hope this helps! Smile

Recovering Nicotine Addicts
I had the same exact issue when I quit 4 years ago. Only when I quit I immediately joined a gym and figured out a diet regimen along with the exact times I needed to eat so I didn't gain any weight. Well, I gained anyways....around 50 lbs. I was so frustrated with what to do that I went to my Dr. and told her what was going on and that I wasn't using food to compensate. She explained to me that every time you have a cigarette you're working your metabolism unnaturally, and eventually it stops working on its own because it doesn't have to, the cigarettes are doing it for it. Apparently it can take up to a year for it to kick back into working right. But as long as you're working out and eating right then it should start back up. So don't lose hope, I know how frustrating it is, but it will take some time. Hope this helps Smile

Food Lover's Diet????
I hope everyone is having a great start to the new year. I was just wondering if anyone has done or is doing the food lover's diet. I saw it on an infomercial Rolling Eyes and when they started talking about pairing food together to keep your blood sugar level, it peaked my interest. I was just curious as to if it works or if it's a gimmick. Any suggestions would be appreciated Smile

Hey Slimmer, I do the same thing to break a stall. I think it jolts your body and gets it working again. Im glad I'm not the only one that uses this Smile
