Cruise Ready
Thanks so much! Do you think that yoga would be a waste of time - I prefer to do that in the evenings. Should I stick to strength?

Cruise Ready
My husband and I are going on a cruise on Feb. 25. That means I have 10 weeks to get into bathing suit shape.

I am currently running, only about 2 miles a day, and cutting calories and keeping carbs low.

Does anyone have any advice on food or exercise (i.e. tons of cardio??) to help me get into shape fast??

Thanks!!!

How do I lose mid-section fat?
While this may not help you lose fat around you mid-section, you can still look smaller. I tried the Flat Belly Diet, and for the 4 day induction, I could a slight difference. Reduce the amount of sodium you are eating because it makes you retain water. Alot of that water can be held in your midsection. Also try to avoid other foods that cause bloating, or that tend to sit in your stomach, like breads, beans, tons of fiber. Ginger and mint also help with digestion and can help "clean you out", it keeps your digestive tract clear. I would drink cucumber-lemon-mint-ginger water as recommended in the book. It was pretty tasty.

Exercise Time
As a parent, when do you find time to exercise? In the morning, evening, lunch breaks at work?

I am really struggling with my energy level in the evening after the kids go to bed at 8. With a 1 year old and a almost 3 year old, theres no motivation for me to be anymore physical. I really enjoy exercising too, running and yoga are huge de-stressers for me.

What do you do? How do you manage?

diets
I follow the atkins diet - but I also agree with the PP. Choosing to follow a low carb lifestyle was probably the most difficult choice for me because I LOVE sweets, pasta, potatoes, breads, anything and everything. But it is also the most rewarding. I used to indulge on those things, and now, I have learned control and discipline. These were the foods that had control over me, but through the process, my body and mind have lost the addiction. I feel better, and I feel like I look better so its encouraging to continue.
