I am a 53 year old mom of a grown child. I once lead a fairly active lifestyle (karate, scuba diving, travel). I still Travel but am not quite as active as I wold like to be. In May of 2015 I was officially diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and started chemotherapy in June 2015- I completed my first round of chemo on dec 14 and then moved to maintenance with Opdivo January 13, 2016. (no end in sight at this time)- I have gained about 30 lbs since starting chemo due in part to the steroids I was receiving and in part to me eating a lot of carbs as they were easy to digest and hold down with the nausea. April 2016: I finally got the go ahead to begin exercising and dieting from oncologist.
I have been here before and lost the weight I needed to lose-shown in my profile pic- I know the Diet I used works- my biggest mistake was not realizing that I should have continued the new way of eating and just increased calories to maintain.- Oh well, live and learn
