I am a 54 year old female. i have always been obsessed with dieting. I have not always been overweight, but still obsessed with food, dieting or working out. The past two years, i have been slowly, very slowly losing weight and keeping it off! i have been learning to listen to my body and do what it needs and not what I think it needs...I would love to be lighter and fitter. Why do people eat high protein diets?
you have got the right idea! Do what works for you and what makes you feel great! I don't think there is any ONE diet that any one should follow...you need fuel and food is fuel and I think we all may need different types. Glad you feel good and are off certain meds...you are a success story!

Remember the scale does not tell the whole story. After a couple weeks of no weight loss (and no cheating)I registered a two pound gain, I was perplexed then I whipped out my tape measure... and viola!!! I lost One full inch off of my waist and hips!!! I am adding muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat.
