Just completing my first 42 hour fast after being plateaued for a month. It was tough for me and had some undesirable side effects. However, just like all things that are outside of the norm; it will take some adjustment. I will wait for my digestive system to settle down before I record results... I will fast again despite the issues. I was able to say "no" to sweeteners which was huge for me. I feel that sweeteners have been at the crux of my plateau and so it was important to let them go. I am proud of myself and will learn from this experience as I embark on my next fasting adventure.

Congratulations! Yes, there is discomfort. The most important thing is that you know you can do it. You have a tool you can use when you feel you need to.

@kdbordeaux - You do not have to fast :) Some of us fast. You do whatever you feel comfortable with :)

I am sensitive to the sugar alchohols, they mess up my progress, but the stevia from sweet leaf is my go to sweetener with no carbs and no reaction. you might try that once you get settled and back into the swing of things. If you can do coffee without anything my hat is off to you.

Good for you. I also have given up sweeteners black coffee is strong. After a week I have adjusted to the taste. Not to bad can enjoy the flavor of different beans now.
