Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops

Pork chops with a flavorful parmesan coating.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C).
  2. Line baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl whisk together mustard, oil, and spices.
  4. Season the 4 pork chops with pepper, then brush both sides of the chops with the mustard mixture.
  5. Press the grated parmesan cheese into both sides of the chops.
  6. Place the chops on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes. The coating should be browned and slightly crispy and the pork should be cooked all the way through.
  7. Note: you can also use this recipe with boneless chicken breasts instead of pork chops & it is just as dee-lish!

Made this last night and they were amazing! So, so good! Definitely use Dijon mustard because I think if you were to use any other type it wouldn't taste right. Note: I added a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the mix too.

Wow, yum! I really loved this. It's not exactly the lowest calorie pork recipe... but a really great break from the monotony, so I guess I can have it every once in a while :)

This is great for the induction phase. I upped the amount of herbs and seasonings in it and it was extremely flavorful. Next time I'm going to leave off the cheese because even though it is DELICIOUS it would still taste remarkable without it. I did make one modification. I had some pecorino cheese in my fridge so I grated some of that in to the cheese mixture, too. It crusted up nicely and added a little sharpness to the flavor.
