How do I weigh in?
Go to your "My FatSecret" page and across the top the second last icon is a graph and your current weight - this takes
you to your Weight History where you can Weigh in and view your diet and weight progress. If you have not weighed in
for a week, you will see a "Weigh in now" message next to your member name (in the top left corner). You can click on
"Weigh in now" to get to the weigh in screen. At the time of weigh in, you can also make a journal entry and/or submit
a new tip for the diet that you are following.
I entered the wrong starting weight, can I change it?
Yes, you can enter a new starting weight. Go to your "My FatSecret" page and in the top right hand "my profile" box click on "my diet". Once there
click "Change starting weight" and enter your correct starting weight information.
Can I backdate my diet start date and enter historical weight entries?
Yes, you can enter your weight information up to 6 months from the time you become a FatSecret member.
Go to your "My FatSecret" page and in the top right hand "my profile" box click on "my diet".
Once there click "enter historical weight" and enter your historical weight information.
Can I change my last weigh in entry if I made a mistake?
Yes, if you have made a mistake entering your weight information for the current date, proceed to weigh in again
and you will be prompted to confirm that you would like to overwrite the last entry.
Click "Ok" to then enter the correct information.
How do I change my goal weight?
Go to your "My FatSecret" page and in "my toolbox" box click on "my diet".
Once there click on "change goal weight" and you can enter a new goal weight.
How do I change the diet I'm following?
Go to your "My FatSecret" page and in "my toolbox" box click on "change my diet".
Once there find the new diet you are following in the FatSecret diets directory or enter your own personalized diet.
You will then be prompted to confirm the diet that you have chosen as well as your goals and starting and finishing dates.
How do I change a phase of diet that I'm following?
At the time of your weigh in, you can change the phase of the diet that you are following.
From then on you will be recorded as following that phase of the diet, so when you rate a recipe or submit a tip and everything else on the site,
you are associated with that phase of the diet.
How do I create my own personal diet?
Go to your "My FatSecret" page and in the bottom left hand side of the page click on "create my own diet" and you will be taken through steps to
build your own customized diet.
How do the weight gain/loss calculation and arrows work?
The FatSecret weight loss/gain calculation looks at a member's weight change
since their last weigh in and calculates a corresponding average weekly weight change. This weekly
weight loss/gain is also displayed by an up or down arrow in a member's journal entry if
the weigh in and journal entry are done at the same time. So for example if a member has a
one lb weight loss over a three day period since their last weigh in, this equals an average
weekly weight loss of 2.3 lb.
