I am 39 years old and I have been married for 8 years, I have 4 kids (23, 22, 19, 15) 3 step daughters (21, 17, 14) one grandson - 5, and 3 granddaughters (13 mon, 12 mon, and 8 mon). Last year was a stressful and eventful year and it shows all over me, I am determined to get myself in shape so I can take all those babies to the pool or the park or the zoo and be able to keep up with them and enjoy them.

How is your RDI working for you? How did you choose it?
I wish somewhere on here it would inform people about how many carbs and how much protien you should be taking in, I see journal posts all the time about people staying under their RDI and gaining 5 lbs and then you look at their diet and they have eaten 300 of carbs and only 20g of protien, I mean come on, calories are not all the same no matter how you look at it.

Can't get the number on the scale to go down!
One thing I have found that is really great with this site is you can look at the days that you made progress and see what it was that you did that day. I have found that if I eat over 1200 calories I gain weight, if I am near 1000 I stay the same and if I am under 1000 I can loose about half a pound a day, you can also look and see how much protien, fat, etc you took in on the days you lost weight and try to follow that same routine. I also have what I call a binge day at least 1 day a week, usually on sunday. I don't go over my RDI, but I get up there in calories this way my metabolism kicks some and doesn't think I am starving myself.

Football!!!!!
I am wondering if anyone has any special ideas for the upcoming football games, I live near Chicago but I am not a bears fan I am a steelers fan and football is a way of life this time of year and I usually do a day of it with food and family. I dont want to over do it with the usual fattening football snacks, anyone have any great ideas. (they will have to carry over when nascar starts up next month too...lol)Cool

Weight Loss Bar
I am having the same problem, the ticker says you have to change sharing with buddies (which it wasn't on that setting anyway) hopefully it will start working because i think that is a great incentive to see it in writing at the bottom of the screen cheering you on.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
everyday, that way if it is up half a pound i know to back off some before it becomes 2 or 3 lbs, it also gives me encouragement when i think im not getting anywhere.
