Day 2 of 4 days of πŸŽ„πŸ΄
Blood sugar 88 mg/dL

56 pushups 2019 PUSH UP Challenge (Overall leaderboard)

I'm posting a 'status photo' because the next time I will be able to get this low again will probably be late January...

The eating started last night with stew and *cornbread* But, because I knew I was about to go 'of the rails' anyway, I had a *bag* of cashews at the airport while I was waiting to pick up family.

It is not the 'situation' that is upsetting, but the 'resistance' to the situation. I just have to accept that my weight is going to hit 180lbs+ (sigh). There, now I feel better :)

I plan to do a πŸƒπŸΎ 5 mile run today…

😎 Life is Good! Have a great day everyone!

You look good. 180 isn't so bad when you add lean mass. If you end up eating an average amount of calories that keep you in that range, simply lift heavy and keep getting stronger. It's just a number, the mirror shows the true story.

I'm starting to look into the balance of cortisol and growth hormones. During this season most of us are getting together with family and friends to celebrate. Food and drink is abundant and often frequent. Focusing on low intensity exercise in nature to lower cortisol levels might be a way for us to find the right balance and we can relax the rest of our strict routines on occasion. You look great, happy holidays!

NSV: You look so much better than your "before" photos, your reshaping is very positive even if you are the same weight. Have you had a physical and lab tests recently? Probably would also show improvement.

You look great! You're going to find that you might not hit 180, because the exercise and muscles will keep you from gaining a lot as long as you don't over eat everyday. You will be fine. I don't fully buy that stress/cortisol/weight relationship, but that's my opinion and personal experience. I do find that when I'm stressed, I now have a tendency to reach for easy foods, comfort foods, sweets, and use the excuse, "You deserve that, because you've been through so much"....as if it's a "treat." When I was younger, I didn't eat when I was upset so I was really thin. (95 lbs.) Now, I'm older and it's different. One of the best things to do when stressed out or upset is to kick-box or shadow box. Boxing gets your mind off your problems and burns calories at the same time.
