I am female in my mid fifties who has been through this song and dance before but feeling very positive. If i have done it before I can do it again. Looking to lose almost 30 kilos. It will be a long journey but that is good. I am doing keto, maybe really Atkins induction eating (as laid out in The New Diet Revolution (2003).

I think it the same as before. Your metabolism may be a bit slower and you may carry some pounds where you least want them but the principles of how to lose does not change. I have been doing keto for about 5 months and dropped a lot of sizes so getting rid of pounds have not been an issue. Now I wonder about really getting down to thin but I see some of the ladies my age and older have been very successful with some patience. Good luck to you!!!!!

How do you increase your protein intake without increasing the fat
Focus on protein foods like chicken breast and egg whites. Also white fish (tilapia and cod) and shrimp. Poach your meats and fish if you have to. Good luck
