New to group - Question for phase II
Now I am gonna do more intrinsically dangerous stuff that your doctor says don't do - squatting fasted.

Can't wait to hear about the detriments of that...

I have yet to see any science that disputes that gallstone formation, cholecystisis (spelling might b wrong there) excessive LBM loss, electrolyte imbalance, malnutrition, liver disfunction, issues with uric acid are side effects that are significant risks for VLCD. And once again this needs to be offset against risks of remaining obese

More straw man. (FYI - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man)

No one that I saw claimed that the VLCD was risk free.

You have claimed, repeatedly, that the VLCD is intrinsically dangerous. It is not. Period.

Terrific. Advice from the government on cutting. What's next? The Food Pyramid?

I have never had an issue with people following their own path...just with them advising others to take the same route as though it's the only route

I concur. Where exactly did I advise anyone to follow any diet, much less a VLCD, much less that a VLCD was the "only route?" More straw man.

What you mean is you have no answer for anything that casts concerns on your n=1 experience

Go back to school. You are presenting the most rudimentary of straw man arguments without citing anything specifically that I said.

What I, correctly, took issue with was your characterization of the VLCD as intrinsically "dangerous." It is not. Your beloved Lyle McDonald even wrote a book on how to execute it safely. Perhaps a read would be in order.
