Diet Cola Chicken

Diet friendly barbeque style chicken breasts.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Mix ketchup and diet cola (like diet Coke) in a medium bowl.
  2. Arrange 4 chicken breasts in a large skillet, pour ketchup and cola mixture over the top. Ensure that mixture covers chicken on all sides.
  3. Turn burner to medium heat and cook for 30 minutes, covered, stirring and scraping occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove lid and cook an additional 10-15 minutes until chicken is done and sauce sticks to chicken.

This recipe is Atkins and WW friendly. Very good flavor. I've added onions to it before and have also made ground beef meatballs with the sauce. Yum!

I was skeptical... but it was actually really good.

Suprisingly good, but a little runny. I found it takes much less then 30 minutes to cook on medium on my burner... and make sure you dont use too much diet coke or the sauce wont stick to the chicken

Never heard of this recipe before, so I was skeptical at first. I'm so glad I took a risk. It was absolutely delicious!! I added black pepper and garlic, as some of these reviews suggest.

Made this recipe tonight and it was awesome. Added a dash of worcestershire sauce, minced onion, a little chili powder, and black pepper to it, and it was so good. I may try it next time with lean pork chops.

Yummy.. Added about a quarter cup onions to a double receipe, a tsp of minced garlic and some pepper. Turned out VERY good. Also took some of the sauce that didn't thicken and added about a Tbsp of cornstarch on the stove to thicken it.

well first of all I didn't see it but somehow the sauce exploded and make a mess on my stove.. don't know how and why that happened.. so this is a dangerous dish to try to cook..on that note... I could have just used some kind of bar-b-que store bought sauce and poured it on my chicken breasts would have tasted almost the same and cooked in less than 15 minutes.
