Weight loss
When I was in my 20's & 30's, I never needed to control my carb intake and could lose weight fairly easily. Now that I'm in my early 50's I certainly need to watch my carb intake. I did the Habit test coupled with my 23 & Me test and it said that I can handle carbs pretty well. But I still watch the carbs & sugar intake.

Looking for buddies doing Keto or LCHF
feel free to add me as a buddy. I'm doing Diet Doctor (not listed as a diet here, but you can google it)., which is LCHF/keto - they also have a ton of info regarding Diabetes.
I'm 49 and I'm convinced my IUD (Mirena) caused me to gain weight. Roughly 40 lbs in about 6 mo's time, and prevented me from losing anything. I was trying to lose it while I was gaining it. No diet worked and I've done everything in the last 7yrs to try and lose it with NO @#$%^& success.
My Naturopath encouraged me to get it removed. I'm 1 week in with LCHF (again) - an already down almost 3 lbs, which for me is huge. I'm hoping wihthout having my IUD - it'll be easier to lose weight. Keeping fingers crossed!!

Sweet
York peppermint patties definitelyhit the spot. I also got those Trident(?) layers gum. I think the kind I have is green apple/pineapple/? its really good & hits the sweet cravings. If I'm at home, I'll make a yogurt parfait, similar to the McDonalds kind. Layer some vanilla greek yogurt (has more protein) and throw on some frozen mixed fruit and you're good to go. Yummm

What are some of your embarassing/emotional/eye opening reasons for loosing weight?
I am cracking up. It definitely makes trying to lose weight a bit easier when you know others have some of the same issues as me.
I'm about 160 now (per my scale, at my doctors this am, I was 4.5 lbs heavier.. argh). I've had my ups & down with weight, with this being the heaviest in over 20 years. I just packed on 25+ lbs within the last 18 months. I don't have a good body image now nor did I have one when I weighed 135. My body will never be "hot", but bopefully better.
When I was 13 my friend (my besty) said that I had "orange peel" looking legs. Yep, cellulite at 13. Not only was I horrified, and still scarred for life, 30 years later.
My boobs have gone up 2 cup sizes (I'm now a "G" or a "DDDD" depending on the bra) which is not easy to find & they are so pricy. I'm tired all the time. I want to wear boots too, they won't fit over my fat calves. I want my thighs to stop rubbing together. I want my waist back. I want jeans that don't dig into my waist. I want to be able to wear shirts where they don't pull across the chest.
And I wish it were so much easier to lose, but I'm doing it a day at a time. Cheers to everyone.
