Hi! I'm 42...for now! I've been happily married for 7 years and have a 5 year-old-son, ok almost 6. I gained a lot of weight during my pregnancy...on average 10 pounds every month. Breastfeeding didn't do anything for me. So I still have all the baby fat on me. I've lost the same pounds over and over again since my son was born. This time I will do it. I'm in the right frame of mind I think that's the most important. I hope some buddies won't let me forget if I start falling off the wagon. I joined a 12 week challange at my gym, winner takes $10,000.00, I thought I could do it, but the weight it's not coming off fast enough.

No Response from Fat Secret Email messages sent. What is up with that?
Do the lack of carbs make people get into B-mode? Last year my cousin died at 44 because she was extremly obese. When I saw the results people have had on Fatsecret all I could think was: She didn't have to die. If only I had found this site sooner. But it wasn't until my son started downloading every posible app on my phone that I started looking. It's your choice. I choose life, a happy healthy life for that matter.

Atkins and South beach
I've done both. Atkins works better for me, I had a hard time reaching ketosis with South Beach. Right now I'm just counting calories, I've been having a hard time to stay away from carbs although when I do it works like magic! I do recommend you read the book as it is important to reintroduce the good carbs in your diet after 14 days. Raspberries are the best way to start. I might even eat a few during induction as they have so little NET carbs. As Little as a packet of slpenda if I'm correct.
