I'm too young to be battling obesity and I am ready to put it behind me!

I am a 23 year old working girl. I have worked hard to build a life that I can be proud of and the last aspect that needs improvement is my weight. There really are no excuses. I'm counting calories and making exercise a priority so hopefully I will continue to see improvement. I'm not interested in a crash diet that is difficult to maintain. I am interested in a lifestyle that I can easily keep up for the rest of my life.

Open Mouth....Insert Foot
I think Oprah had it right when she said something along the lines of, I wouldn't ask a woman if she is pregnant even if she goes into labor right in front of me!

Do I really look SICK ?
I always wonder how often those comments come from individuals who are uncomfortable with the fact that you are losing weight because it sheds light on how unhealthy thier lifestyles are. They want to be happy for you and the commitment you've made to health, but the elephant in the room is that they need to lose weight too and aren't doing anything about it. That seems to be the case with some of my family members anyway.

Work outs for 2nd floor tenants
I have this same problem when I do a RIPPED workout DVD about once a week. There is a lot of jumping and noisy cardio. So, I do it barefoot to minimize the amount of noise I am making. It has actually helped me work on my balance and strength in my legs. Having to focus on not crashing down hard and having to really follow through on your movements seems to help!

I also make sure that I am exercising at reasonable hours, not after 7pm or before 10am if I can help it. If I can't then I'll go for a run outside or to the gym instead.
