I am an older retired lady. Dr wants me to lose weight and do more exercise. I have been on Atkins since March 29,2013 and I have lost 50 pounds. It has been good to me and I feel a lot better. I have three grown kids and 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. I love to golf and take the g kids to Silver Dollar City. This summer has been fun. My husband and I just celebrated our 50th in April of 2013. I reached my goal weight in October of 2013 and I have been successfully maintaining since then. I love my new look. It is crucial that I keep a close eye on what I consume so i stay here at FatSecret to manage my food intake and get positive reinforcement from other food aholics.

there is a very small x directly across from the food that you want to delete. Just click on that x and it will delete the food you don't want there.

creating and saving my recipes
I have a lot of pending recipes. It doesn't mean anything except they wont post to the public for viewing. this is a great tool for figuring out the calories /fat/carbs/fiber. You can click on any of your pending recipes to add to your food diary. right below the title of your pending recipe in small letters it reads "add to food diary"

Football is looming ahead
I have been preparing myself for company and what I am going to eat compared with what I am going to feed everyone else. My daughter and her family are coming over for potato soup and snacks to watch the big game. They love my potato soup, which was my mother's recipe, but it is off limits for me. I am also making a cheese dip that I will serve them with chips, but I will dip pork skins. It is all about planning.

Yes, they are called sugar snap peas. Here is another idea for a good snack. I like to take a Mama Lupe's low carb tortilla and heat it in a big skillet until it is brown on the bottom and crisp it just takes about 3 or 4 minutes. Turn the heat down and cover it with meat like a pizza. Top it with shredded cheese, and let it melt a little. Transfer it to a plate, and spoon some picante sause on it and then cut it with a pizza cutter into little wedges.very yummy.

Football playoffs
Beth, I eat them raw. They are handy and tasty. You could take along a little bag of them in your purse and have something to snack on in lieu of popcorn or some other snacks. A gal at the bowling Alley had some last week and I was intrigued with the idea so I asked her for one and now I am sold.
