51 y/o & recent illness provoked a weight gain. Funny how becoming sedentary will do that.

Now, at 53yrs committed to a better lifestyle.

Used to be a scientist, so watch out you hippy-dippy fad dieters! :-)

5 yrs HFLC here. Saved my bloody life!! So easy now, too.
Keep it up, you will probably fall prey to occasional carb feats, but HFLC is kind😀

Intermittent Fasting and how I lose my weight
Sheri, the first dietdoctor.com vid i watched was interview with Dr. Hallberg, "is high cholesterol dangerous on a high fat low carb diet". It was spot on! Confirming the path that I believe I should take. I am now going to have my doctor order LDL – P tests and go from there. I will not start statins until I get more information, just as the doctor suggested. Thank you so much!

Intermittent Fasting and how I lose my weight
Great job! I started IF a couple months ago, doing well, and after just a couple weeks iIF became easy. I have questions and plenty of research to do, but i know, since being serious on Keto diet in Jan 2015, i no longer have diabetes, my BP is excellent (with meds currently), my blood lipids still need help, but hoping that IF, will help me reduce body fat and normalize my numbers!

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
once a day after morning shower. more data points = better, but I don't fret about fluctuations. I can move up or down 5# a day easy just with normal fluid volume variatio9n. Plot out the curve and watch the trend line.
