Finally, I was able to stock up on keto supplies, and maintain diet adherence. Labs came back from dr. Visit. Good news is most of my numbers are good; serum glucose, liver enzymes, thyroid, etc. etc. Trigs are way down from my Dec. 2014 SAD (standard american diet)lazy diet. Then trigs were estimated ar over 1500! Now down to about 240 which is much better, but still elevated. Overall cholesterol is high (238, again, MUCH better than a year ago) but standard guidelines recommend much lower. And my LDL and HDL ratio's are not good according to their current heart Association guidelines. Of course I am on a Ketogenic diet, and I've been working hard to stay on the diet and the hope that the blood lipids will normalize. My doc wants to put me on statins, but I want to research current heart disease research and determine if I should have other tests performed and verify if my numbers are actually on healthy or safe? One thing I've been thinking about doing is switching from my high saturated, meat based fat diet to a plant-based low saturated, mono fat diet and I may combine that with an increased energy expenditure. So I may have a double variance tests coming up.

Other good news is my weight is at 231.8 which is better. It's awfully hard to maintain weight loss by eating available fast foods. I restocked the larder last night. With a good quality cheddar cheese and a cool new lavash flat bread that is very low on carbs. Also bought lettuce avocados, spaghetti squash and wait for it........ A slab of pork ribs. I braised them at 200° with a nice rub of seasoning and as always, they came out wonderful! Low price, and the bones make a good broth.

Also I'm getting the handle on using Siri to dictate while I'm using my iPad. Some of you know that I have a brain tumor and I suffered a brain intercranial hemorrhage during the biopsy almost 4 years ago. I was left paralyzed on my left side, both my arm and leg were completely paralyzed for over 10 days. I worked hard through physical therapy, and occupational therapy but I still have significant weakness on my left side so I've been looking for ways to increase my productivity, and I hope Siri will help. One thing that I have noticed, is that Siri works better since the last iOS update. Yay! :-)
