I live on a small acreage in the foothills of the Rockies. We have a garden, some chickens, dogs and a cat. I work full time at my dream job as a branch library supervisor, and enjoy making things. Happily married with one kidlet, I am eating low fat due to gallbladder issues. I miss cheese and ice cream, but I don't miss the pain.

Low Carb Diets - Do they work for everyone?
I have done low carb, and I get results, but I don't find the way of eating to be sustainable for me. I fall back to eating in a more typical way.

Right now, I'm having gall bladder issues and the only real way to keep from being in pain all the time is to eat very low fat. Fruits, vegetables, grains, beans, some low-fat meats like chicken or turkey breast, egg whites...it keeps the pain from flaring up and I'm losing some weight, and it feels more sustainable (for me) than the very low carb plans.
