Hello All,

I guess it's time to update my bio, since my situation has changed from originally joining years ago.

I've been on this health roller coaster most of my adult life (like many of you). I've bounced back and forth from the 300's to the low 200's several times. I even dropped to the high 170's almost 20 years ago. You'd think at 57 years old, I'd know better. Actually, with the experience of getting to 177 lbs, I DO know better. The knowledge that I gained it all back haunts me at times because I remember how good I felt at the lower weight. If reading this bio helps someone else to maintain their lower weight, then it's served it's purpose.

Well, enough of that. I'm back and moving the scales downward again. I've met several buddies on FS over the years and it really does help for someone to have your back, so thank you buddies for what you've done in the past and hopefully, the future help you'll provide. I'll also try to support you too.

i do not get it.....
I can speak for me on this matter. I welcome the support and advise, however, I'm still going to make up my own mind for my own path. Many of my decisions are based on the person's success, but not all of them. Honestly, I had deleted a few buddies, but's only those who appear to have been MIA for quite some time. Although I have seen a few nasty comments, the biggest majority of them are very helpful and sent with good intentions. I agree with the comments above about sharing your information and feel that I benefit greatly from other's being able to review and comment. I'm learning more and more about healthy eating from this site and encourage others to do the same.

Going for bariatric surgery...
First of all, thank you for your service and welcome to the site. You're definitely in the right place. I can't tell much about you because you either haven't completed your bio or aren't sharing it but I'll be happy to be your FatSecret buddy. I'll give encouragement and would hope to receive the same. My doctor suggested the surgical route for me too, but I decided that I'd rather try once again to lose it on my own. If it's your best option then power to you! I'll send a buddy request to you shortly. Again, welcome to the site.
