Hello all. I'm on a "fat loss" journey to healthy living. I've been over weight most of my life and I'm just plain tired of living this way. I'm a believer that what diet program works for you today.....may not work for you tomorrow. Over the years, I've lost 43 lbs. with Quick Weighloss Center's program (in 10 weeks) and gained it all back. I later lost 50 lbs. using NutriSystem and gained it all back. These two programs worked very well for me but I stuck with them so rigidly and for so long, I just got burned out on the food. I'm taking full responsibility for my weight gain. I just plain love to eat and my family has some great cooks in it.

My wife and I have decided to follow the advice of a dietition. We're following a sensible program with "real" food. We've decided this is a life style change that we need to make to start enjoying life even more.

Hate weekends sometimes!
Lacapan, everyone has issues with staying "on track". I feel your pain more than you know. I've been up and down so many times it's hard to keep up with this roller coaster but hey.........quit beating yourself up. Our current condition(s) didn't happen over night and getting back in healthy shape won't happen overnight either. Try to enjoy the journey instead of just the outcome. One of the best tools is entering your diet religiously, even when you cheat. It'll give you a road map of what works and what doesn't. Good luck!

Question on personality
This is a great thread and it comes at a really appropriate time. It really describes my current problem to a tee. Even though my buddies are really trying to get me back into the swing of things, I'm just plain "burned out". More to the point, I DON'T WANT TO BE BURNED OUT! Thanks to all who've had imput into this thread. It really helps.
At Dazocdude, sorry for the temporary hijack. I was very much obsessed with this just like you describe above. I really just don't want to "move on" away from it.

Getting over the funk?
Picking up the weight I've lost sounds like a good idea. I've been backsliding for the last few months and am having a very difficult time getting my head in it again. I know very well that NOBODY can do it for me. Thanks for the idea. It came at a good time.
