Good Fats Vers Bad Fats
Plus, we are not elephants or whales LOL But, whales DON'T eat fruits and veggies--they eat fish! And what about wolves and cougars and lions and bears, etc.?

Good Fats Vers Bad Fats
But they have also done some recent studies that have shown those who eat dairy products lose more weight than those who don't, due to some fat blocking (enzymes? I can't remember what) items in them! Also, I had cut dairy out because it was high in calories and ended up giving myself a calcium deficiency. (My nails were literally shredding Sad ) So, remember balance!

protein ideas
For a grain, quinoa is awesome for protein..but beware, it is unfortunately also pretty high in calories. Along the ideas above on the chicken breast on the salad, I make up a pound of shrimp at time in whatever flavor seasoning I want, then freeze it. Then, it's ready to go and thawed out on my salad by lunch time.

Exercise tips
Anything you will do on a consistent basis--and mix it up! Cardio is great for fat burning--but, weight training builds muscles and muscles burn more fat at rest. So, a combination of cardio & weights, with mixing it around with different exercises so you keep your body "guessing" is best. But again--the one you will do several times a week, every week is the best!

How many calories should you aim for breakfast
Go with what your body is telling you--I usually eat around 350 calories for breakfast but snack a couple of times before lunch--I get super hungry in the mornings, for some reason, and not so much in the afternoons so I tend to eat probably 60-70% of my calories through lunch time. But, I work out in the mornings so getting hungrier in the mornings is probably tied to this, I suspect. As long as you stay within your RDI, it doesn't matter if you eat more in the mornings or later in the day. Smile
