These are the things you should know about me. First, I am a Christian. I believe this planet is only the beginning ~ I look forward to an eternity with the ones I love honoring the God of creation. That said, I am a fat 65 year old grandma of 18 beautiful grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, mother of 6 sons (one went to be with the Lord at age 24...way too soon), mother-in-law (or mother-in-love) to 4 wonderful ladies, and the woman who loves her "GoodMan" more than words can say.
On July 15, 2009 my physical world changed. I fell and hurt my knee while climbing the Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica. After multiple surgeries, including a knee replacement, I still do not have full function of my right leg. Since that time I've had 4 bouts of cellulitis - the last time hospitalized for 9 days - which brought about a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency in both legs.
My health issues along with a number of other life (and death) changes brought me to the decision to retire in May 2011 from my job as the Accounts Coordinator for a busy optometrists office so that I can spend more time with my husband and allowing me time to travel and see my "grands". This extra time has also given me the opportunity to address my weight and mobility problems.
I love to read, love to travel, and love my family ~ not necessarily in that order.

biking questions
Yes, my hands go to sleep when I ride too. Particularly when I ride my outdoor bike, not so much the exercise bike. I found I was holding the handlebars on my outdoor bike really tight. If I was mindful of it and tried to keep a looser grip it did not happen as often. I think it doesn't happen on my exercise bike because I let go of the handlebar every once in a while, whereas I don't feel comfortable doing that while riding my regular bike.

National Chain Restaurants
Thanks Mummydee ~ Denny's does nound like a good option. I googled "restaurants near Rivertown Crossing" and it came up with a few options. I usually like to plan my meal out before I go, but I don't know which restaurant Grandson #1 will want to go to...we'll see. I will plan to succeed!

National Chain Restaurants
What is your favorite national chain restaurant? I'd like to find some options that have healthy choices. Things like fish, veggies, lower calorie - higher protein options.
