My name is Char, and I'm a foodaholic. I passed the 210 pound mark in December of '12, decided enough was enough, and joined WW. In July of '13 I found FS...and found that the two sites/plans worked well with each other.In August of '13 I went from the WW points system to their simply filling technique, which meant I didn't have to log everything I ate, only those foods not considered power foods.
I did well the first few weeks,but then I cut my foot up rather badly, couldn't exercise (or walk for that matter) for weeks...and things got out of hand.
By December I found I has having a hard time getting back into the WW mode, and with the holidays...well, I ended up putting on 13 of those pounds I had worked so hard all year to lose. But I was down 25 pounds for the year, so instead of beating myself up, I came back over here to FS, where I get more info on what I'm eating and burning than I do at WW. Again, I'm using the WW plan, but following the FS site for now. And hoping to drop another 25 or more pounds again this year!
As for me, I'm a 62 YO happily married woman, living in west central FL with my hubby and my two fur kids, Dink the yellow lab and my newest love, Val the American Staffordshire Terrier (yes, she's a pit bull :D ). I love walking and haven't missed hiking or walking 3-5 miles a day in over 2 years now. I'd walk farther, but either Dink or the hubby (who walks with us on weekends) gets too tired on me. lol I also enjoy crafts and computer gaming, with online MMO war strategy games or single player RPGs taking up a lot of my evening time.
