I am a native of Baltimore, Maryland- home of famous Maryland Crabcakes, chicken box w/ fries and half & half drinks. All of these things are a reason why I am here on fatsecret today.

I have been battling my weight since my early twenties and I have experienced successn with some diets, but then the weight always found its way back to me. I decided that I am getting older and the only way to beat this "weight thing" once and for all is to change the way I eat. I have to change a lifetime of bad habits and incorporate better eating habits along with restraint- all which is new to me.

Since December 2010, I have buckled down and began eating better and exercising. I have been so proud of myself for the results that I am seeing. I have my husband and my kids to thank because if it were not for their support, i could not make this journey.

I appreciate Fat Secret as a resource because here everyone shares my pain and understands my journey. Together we can help keep each other on track and battle our way to a healthier self for years to come.

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Unfortunately I weigh myself everyday, however I try not to focus on the pounds but the inches. As RMC said, if my clothes are fitting differently, then I know I am doing something right. But I have become obsessed with weighing myself daily and it drives me nutts....

Accelerate Weight loss
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can accelerate my weight loss to lose at least 2-3 pounds per week? I am open to any suggestions.
