Yes. Logging works for me*

Looking back at my journal entries 2 weeks ago, OMAD and 1600 calories was a nice sweet spot for me.

Yesterday, I was on my way to OMAD when I was guilted into eating a low carb dinner because it was prepared for me. I ate it, logged it and moved on. So, yesterday I ended up eating 2 meals and I may play around with this a bit. I will not venture into splitting 1600 calories between 3 meals because I want my pancreas to work as designed and keep T2D off my radar.

Yes, I understand the value of logging but hopefully it is not forever.

But, why would you NOT want to log what you eat? You're leaving a healthy legacy - don't stop doing the basics, that's part of your success!

i find the days i dont log..work against me..if i log what i eat..i can see the numbers an how they are broke down an how i can improve on that...just what seems to work best for me...we are all different..an we release weight differently as well..finding what works for you is what its all about...

@From371to184 - the basics. I can't fight it. I guess I need to apply the tried and true K.I.S.S principle. @wannabhealthier - yes, logging is a great tool and I had a nice 3 plus month streak Sep - Nov 2017 and should return to it.

Ches, you eat once a day?

@Jipper500, mostly M - F, it is easy with my schedule to eat 1 to 2 x a day and I have plenty energy for work and walks during lunch.

I'm trying that route too, Ches. Need to bring down the fasting insulin if I have any hope of beating T2D. Just tried 2 meals yesterday and worked fine now that I'm in fat-burning mode (ketosis).

@trackin64. Music to my ears, lowered fasting insulin.

Logging works for me too, and so does eating 2 meals a day, with my last meal no later than 2pm. If I go off plan and eat things I shouldn't, I also eat later in the day.

You’re also all about the statistics and knowing what the science is Ches so logging is one of the few ways we grt that information. It’s a PITA and takes time 🤷🏻‍♀️but if you simplify the workday meal to adjust during the week by kerping yourself maybe to some bulletproof coffee, water and walnuts in the early evening/late afternoon? Then dinner with the family that you log? Wash. Rinse. And repeat the next day. 💁🏻‍♀️Let the weekends fluctuate for your 2 meal a day days? Would that be easier? It sounds like you have a pretty good handle on what was working for you as usual Ches! I have faith in you!🙋🏻‍♀️

it's important to switch it up every now and then. That's the beauty of intermittent fasting you don't have to stick to any specific window :-)
