Greetings my Best Buddies!

Thank Goodness I consistently go to my gym four or five days each week to burn calories...last night I completely lost it with my nutrition plan!

I don't know exactly what was going on but I had a "f**k it" moment and ate what my husband was eating...rice with my dinner, tortilla chips and some ice cream! I sort of managed my portions but...really? Doritoes?

So not like me... I think I am trying to discover what maintenance at this weight for a while would encompass...it is so much harder.

#Burn the fat, Feed the muscle

Short Range Goals:
* Start and maintain the "cut" to return to goal weight on Idiot Boxes before New York - not looking good as of last night!
* Drink at least 14 - 16 cups of fresh water daily - especially on gym days
* Continue HIIT mixed in with weight lifting four to five days
* Keep up the training notebook to achieve progressive overload
Long Range Goals: 2016-2017
*Bodyfat at 20% (Current 23.75%)
*Maintain Idiot Boxes around 152-156lbs staying under goal weight
*Increased strength, endurance and flexibility during workouts
Words of the Week:
“There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.” ~Colin Powell
I am dedicated, determined and diligent!

Whee! I'd say, treat it as an 'investigative experiment' for your maintenance. Track how you feel for the next few days after the indulgence. Physical and mental states. Who knows? Maybe your maintenance will look like 5:2Cowboy's weight loss plan...eat anything you want for 5 days, and fast for 2.

Love your words of the week! Sums up my thoughts completely! Yes, maintenance IS so much harder! Welcome to the club! I went wayyyy out there over the past couple of months. I'm still baffled by not gaining anymore than I did. Was it because of the seasonal foods I included?? Idk, but I do know the last time I strayed that far I had twice the gain. I haven't logged weight yet, bc I decided to give my body a few days to dump some water weight. No worries! We will figure it out, eventually...lol.

One slip is no big deal, but yeah, maintenance is a huge challenge. If anyone can do it, though, it's you!

I have done that several times too! You know what I still lost weight, maybe not as much as could've been achieved but the working out really cuts the collateral damage down significantly.

I think about that fairly often. At the end of this road, I intend to eat beans, wild rice, split pea soup. How much can I eat without gainjng weight? Nothing to worry about now, but I do keep an eye on you all who are standing at the end of the road.

You CAN eat junky garbage (like Doritos) in Maintenance; it's all about portion sizes. Always waaaaayyyyy less than what you really want to eat. It is for this reason that I dislike restrictive diets: you get no practice eating normal food in correct portion sizes, and are much more likely to gain it all back (plus more).

You've had a lot of stress lately trying to decide what to do about the troll maybe it got to you but you'll be ok your one of the strongest people I know.

Sometimes we just have to "revisit" the past to see if we are really missing out on anything. Last time I did a "revisit" I did not enjoy it and I asked myself more than once.....why did I EVER eat this crap?

I do agree with 3xSoon. Restrictive diets don't work. But I am not here to lecture. Far from it!!! I do admire your diligence and determination. But maintaining is harder then loosing. Then again I know that : You Can & You Will :)

ya i's hard; hate that studies say that for people like you and me will NEVER be able to eat like other people who weigh the same and never had to loose a bunch of weight. our dietary needs will always be less than others . that's why so many regain . blaa.

My experience was the same as Debra - did NOT enjoy the after effects. I ended up with a headache for 2 days... definitely not worth it for me. Sometimes you gotta do, what ya gotta do.

Sometimes I wonder what in the world was I thinking also! You will recover from it in no time because you are so disciplined!

Did you enjoy it? of wolf it? I used to wolf down the bad food or un-allowed foods, now, I savor them...and eat much less of them...I was just curious how you felt. Always thinking about you, because you are always thinking of everyone else! Take care!

Lulani - no, I didn't wolf but generally I choose ONE indulgence at a time, not three in one evening! It was definitely a relapse to a moment of emotional eating for me which seldom happens anymore so it was a surprise to have no self-control. I lost my mind for a minute!
