I am ready to dial it in. I've challenged a fellow FS member to a healthy competition. He has lost 4x pounds in less than 100 days with consistent effort using the 5:2 and I've lost 3x pounds in 180 days with very inconsistent effort using LCHF.
I would say his approach would be that of the student who reads the syllabus in the beginning of the semester, attends all the classes, studies often and gets and A in that class. My approach would be that of a student who tosses the same syllabus in his bag in the beginning of the course, pulls it out the day of the class to ask questions without going over the material beforehand, pulls of an all-nighter and gets a B in the class and is happy.
One could draw a parallel to that of the turtle vs the hare, me being the hare but I must tell you this, I am very determined and it's not over until it's over.
It's on. No matter who gets there 1st, we both will be winners. Take that back. I will get there 1st. I will not let down the focused LCHF warriors that paved the way.
Good night, -Ches

No wager because that would be like taking candy from a baby @FIVETWOCOWBOY

I'm a little intimidated by the recent history. The man ran a half marathon! In order to get into this and make a good showing, I think I'm going to have to back off on the banana bread and ice cream. Dang it! I just made a fresh batch with crushed pineapple and pecans. If I'm not careful, this will start to feel like a diet or something. The Culver's drive through guy is going to miss me.

I just bought an 18 pack of Yuengling lager too. My wife's bf made pumpkin bread for everyone. By the way, if I could run a half, I would be skinny, but I shove carbs and sugar in my mouth when no one is looking because that doesn't count. Well that's the old me. At dunks now, 7:30 am up here in Mass looking at my sexy 79 Kawa sitting in a parking spot waiting for me to get back on. Drinking a coffee with cream only, yuk. Day one has started.

A haircut is technically a net loss, right? Well, my haircut girl is about two miles away. Think I'll mosey on over there for Day One. That's right Ches, the Cowboy is going for a 4 mile mosey!

Hey Cowboy, after the haircut, you should go to Mcdonals and get a frozen frappe for the walk back. It's made with ice so it shouldn't be too bad for you.
