*Never lose the ability to find beauty in ordinary things.*
My fortune cookie advice for the day. No I did not eat the cookie. LOL Being buried for so long in this renovation this little quote has added continued impact from the thoughts I was already having on needed ME time. Not only do I need to slow down to center myself and remember there are things besides fixing up the house that are important, or taking care of everyone else but I have forgotten to notice simple things like the sun, the sky and the stars that shine in the night. Too look up and out and beyond the walls that bind me to the work. To enjoy these small pleasures is as much akin to me time as it is to remember that life is not a mission, without these little pleasures we would stagnate and have trouble plodding one foot in front of the other. So remember, as you work, and plan and frustrate in this life that it is up to you to take the time to look beyond the bindings, blinders and walls in life be they real or imagined no matter their source. Take time to notice something extraordinary in your ordinary day. *hugs*

Important thoughts. The things we do in life can end up taking us over, been there before with it with home renovation. There WILL be an end to this phase of it, hope it's not too far away.

Great insight, Kelly! It's so important to do this, like taking a mini-holiday from all your cares!

Great post! :) thanks. We all need a reminder, to honor the thought and action of appreciating being alive, spending time for ourselves, and even spending time Honoring that we are taking time to just enjoy the sunrise, the birds hopping around out the window, the happy family walking in the park, the ducks peacefully cruising around in the lake, the calm clear water of the lake. :)

you are kicking butt!!!! I have switched over to keto - I am following the keto diet blog, bought the app, making the food loveing it to be honest - but my weight has stalled again for the past month! I am a teacher and have returned back to work - so there is more stress, less sleep and less time to work out! planning to do a fat fast on Monday to get things started! You are my hero!!! you have done amazingly well!
